Recently, Malayalam actress Parvathy has openly criticized megastar Mammootty for making controversial remarks on females in the movie ‘Kasaba’. The comments were made by Parvathy when she delivered a speech on the IFFK open forum. During her speech, Parvathy said that she did not expect such a degraded dialogue on females by a legendary actor like Mammootty.
Soon, fans of the megastar initiated a cyber attack on Parvathy. People started criticizing Parvathy who took a double stand when it comes to freedom of expression. It should be also noted that the actress also mocked the censor board by saying that she would like to call the controversial movie ‘Sexy Durga’ instead of ‘S Durga’.
Now, director Roopesh Peethambaran, renowned for making movies like ‘Theevram’ and ‘You Too Brutus’ has openly come forward and has extended his support to the megastar. According to Roopesh, it is Mammootty’s success as an actor which compelled Parvathy to make such remarks.
Roopesh on his official Facebook handle posted that actors like Mammootty are not acting, but are living on the screen.
“I support Mammookka, and all the actors and actresses in the world,” concluded Roopesh’s Facebook post.
Malayalam movie buffs are now eagerly waiting to know the reaction of Parvathy to the comments made by Roopesh.
